Hastings Public Schools

Hastings Public Schools serves students from preschool through the twelfth grade with an enrollment of approximately 3,700 students. Our six elementary schools serve K-5 throughout the community.

Hastings Middle School serves students in grades six, seven, and eight with almost 800 students. Hastings Senior High School provides a comprehensive secondary school program for students in grades nine through twelve. The enrollment at the Senior High School is almost 1,000 students.

The district employs 530 staff members. Approximately 295 of the staff members are teachers, while the remaining 235 are composed of administrators, custodians, maintenance workers, paraeducators, and secretaries. All of the employees of the District are committed to the Mission of the District.

Our mission is “to assure all students acquire the knowledge, skills, and behaviors essential to be successful individuals and responsible citizens.”
